Haoge Wang
As a featured violinist who has appeared across Asia, Europe, Australia and North America, Chinese violinist Haoge Wang continues to impress and inspire audience with his elegant, artistry sound. In the pursuit of the inner story telling of music, Haoge believes that music is filled with the connection and contrast between the past and the present.
Haoge has appeared as a performing artist in major venues including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall and Recital Hall, Fuzhou Grand Theater, Arts Center Incheon, Hamarikyu Asahi Hall. He gave his debut recital in Shanghai in 2016. He was the first prize winner of the “Haiqu Cup” Violin Competition in 2013, the first prize winner of the Young Soloist International Music Competition in 2023 and the second prize winner of Young Artist Competition at Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra in 2024. In the same year, Haoge Wang also won the second prize (no first prize awarded) and special prize voted by audience at 6th Cullerart International Violin Competition. He also debuted as soloist with València Orchestra in Spain.
He was invited to perform at the “Gonggeng” International Music Festival, “Fu Tian” International Violin Festival in Shenzhen, Music Academy of the West, and Lucerne Festival in Switzerland.
Active in chamber music, he has performed in a number of venues in China, Germany, United States, and Australia with invitation. His string quartet, “Dongping” String Quartet, won the second prize in the chamber music competition at Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He performed withhis string quartet in the concert of the 90th anniversary of Shanghai Conservatory of Music in the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall in 2017 and he has given his first chamber music recital in Shanghai. He participated in the Shanghai Conservatory of Music 5th International Chamber Music Festival in 2018. He also joined the concert of Chamberfest at the Juilliard School in 2022 and 2024.
Haoge Wang was admitted to The Juilliard School for Bachelor of Music in 2019 and he graduated with his Master of Music degree at Juilliard in 2025. During his time at Juilliard, he worked with Mr. Li Lin and Mr. Joseph Lin. In the performance season of 2022-23, he appeared as the concertmaster of the Juilliard Orchestra.
